Well Made Weekly Roundup
New Recipes, Cozy Bakes & Little Joys
Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! Oooo this week was really good, and felt like a sweet return to routine. I’ve been spending more time in the kitchen finding my new flow with filming and testing recipes, and honestly… it’s been so refreshing. There’s something really grounding about settling into a new space, learning its light, its little quirks, and slowly making it feel like home. We’re still getting settled here in Texas, but I’m already loving it so much. There’s been lots of coffee, lots of baking, and that cozy, familiar feeling of being back in my element.
I have some really fun recipes coming up soon too, and I’m excited to keep leaning classic bakes that feel comforting and nostalgic. Speaking of…I have a veryyy exciting meeting coming up next week (really the biggest meeting of my life), that I’m both nervous and excited for! I hate to be that person, but I can’t say anything at the moment!! Hopefully I’ll be able to tell you soon <3. But stay tuned!!
If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
The Best Classic Chocolate Cake
A soft, moist, perfectly sweet chocolate cake with a hint of espresso to deepen the chocolate flavor, layered with a silky, smooth chocolate frosting. It’s timeless, simple, and the kind of cake you’ll come back to for birthdays, celebrations, or just because.
Cinnamon Crunch Blueberry Butter Swim Biscuits
Soft, fluffy, incredibly buttery biscuits bursting with juicy blueberries and topped with a brown sugar cinnamon crunch. Baked until golden and best served warm with butter, flaky sea salt, and a hot cup of coffee.
Homemade Honey Buns
My absolute favorite of the week and one of my favorite things I’ve ever made! Soft, pillowy fried honey buns with warm swirls of honey butter and cinnamon brown sugar, coated in a silky honey glaze and served warm with a cup of coffee. Cozy, nostalgic, and such a comforting treat.
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - so so rich in vanilla flavor!
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
Flaky Sea Salt - the flakiest of flaky sea salt, you can probably tell by now that I use it on quite literally everything
My Favorite Yeast - my go-to for yeasted doughs!
Avocado Oil - I love using this for frying
Ballerina Farm Farm Flour - I’ve been absolutely LOVING this flour for my yeasted doughs; it’s very similar to bread flour, but has an even higher protein content!
Dutch-Process Cocoa Powder - my current favorite cocoa powder, it’s so rich and dark!
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
French Rolling Pin - just my fave rolling pin!
Offset Spatula - a necessity for cake decorating
10.5x7.5’“ Baking Dish - love using this size for the butter swim biscuits!
9” Cake Pans - the BEST cake pans, they bake so evenly!
Ballerina Farm Farm Flour - I’ve been absolutely LOVING this flour for my yeasted doughs; it’s very similar to bread flour, but has an even higher protein content!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer - this needs almost no explanation, it’s simply a life-saver in the kitchen
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far
This Week Looked Like
Lots of recipe testing!! I’ve been leaning more into not rushing or forcing it since it is my work, but fully embracing the joy of it!
Slow mornings with the Lord and coffee before the day gets busy
Fresh flowers on the counter (one of my favorite things; they bring me so much joy and make such a difference!
Seeing so many of you saving and baking my recipes! It brings me the most joy <3
Making the kitchen feel a little more “ours” each day
A Note for the Week Ahead
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” — Isaiah 26:3
This verse has been such a sweet reminder for me lately. Peace doesn’t come from everything slowing down or feeling easy — it comes from where we place our trust. When we fix our hearts and minds on Him, there’s a steadiness that settles in, even when life feels full or uncertain.
As you head into this new week, my prayer is that you’re met with moments of calm, warmth, and rest — whether that looks like a quiet morning, something cozy baking in the oven, or simply taking a deep breath and remembering that He’s with you in it all.
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
Again, thank you for being here — whether you try one recipe or simply enjoy the scroll, I’m forever grateful you’re part of this community.
Here’s to another sweet, simple, and well made week ahead!

Seal salt and vanilla bean paste are staples for me. Even though I don’t post often about baking, I did have a catering business for years. I made beautiful sweet tables and catered parties. I still love to bake and I wait for your new posts. You are so talented.
