Well Made Weekly Roundup
cozy classics, fresh bakes, and simple moments.
Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! This week was a good one (and I hope yours was too)! I felt a lot od gratitude overall this week. Gratitude for a new environment that we’re really loving so far, for new friends that feel like family already, for getting to do what I absolutely love, for the love of Jesus, and for YOU all! There’s been a lot of testing, a lot of coffee, and a lot of those simple moments that remind me why I love what I do so much.
Dustin has been settling into his new role at his job, and it’s been really sweet and amazing to see. He is absolutely loving it!! I’ve also been really enjoying getting back into a steady rhythm with filming and testing lots of recipes. It’s been so fun creating in a new kitchen and bringing my ideas to life, especially knowing so many of you are baking along with me! We are gearing up for a few busy months ahead which will include some travel and lots and lots of weddings, so it’s been important to me that I really soak up this time of just getting to be in the kitchen each day and the peace it brings me.
If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
Carrot Cake Cream Cheese Muffins
Soft and fluffy with a tender crumb and that classic spiced carrot cake flavor, filled with a smooth, tangy cream cheese center and finished with a buttery brown sugar pecan streusel. Perfect with a hot cup of coffee!
Hot Chocolate Fudge Cake
A soft, fluffy chocolate cake soaked in a rich chocolate sauce and topped with a velvety ganache. Served warm with vanilla ice cream and flaky sea salt, it’s the ultimate cozy chocolate dessert!
Blueberry Crumble Cinnamon Rolls
My favorite of the week! Pillowy soft and gooey with golden edges, swirled with brown sugar cinnamon and a layer of bright blueberry compote, then finished with a buttery crumble and a silky vanilla cream cheese glaze.
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - so so rich in vanilla flavor!
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
Flaky Sea Salt - the flakiest of flaky sea salt, you can probably tell by now that I use it on quite literally everything
My Favorite Yeast - what I use for ANY yeasted dough!
Ballerina Farm Farm Flour - I’ve been absolutely LOVING this flour for my yeasted doughs; it’s very similar to bread flour, but has an even higher protein content!
Dutch-Process Cocoa Powder - my current favorite cocoa powder, it’s so rich and dark!
Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Chocolate Chips - I just love these, they’re so rich. Perfect for brownies and cookies!
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
French Rolling Pin - just my fave rolling pin!
Our Place Always Pan - I almost always brown my butter in this pan, and cook on it all the time; it’s amazing and non-toxic!
10.5x7.5’“ Baking Dish - I loveee this pan so much; I use it for a lot of my cakes and I think it’s the perfect size! I used this for the hot chocolate fudge cake <3
Made In 9x13” Porcelain Baking Dish - my favorite baking dish for cinnamon rolls, it’s perfect!
6-Cup Jumbo Muffin Pan (I personally prefer jumbo) - my favorite jumbo muffin pan, and what I used for the carrot cake cream cheese muffins!
12-Cup Standard Muffin Pan - my go-to for standard muffins!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer - this needs almost no explanation, it’s simply a life-saver in the kitchen
KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer - perfect for when you don’t want to pull out the stand mixer!
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far
This Week Looked Like
Slow mornings with the Lord and coffee before the day gets busy; I look forward to this time every single day <3
Feeling more settled into a routine lately
Seeing so many of you saving and baking my recipes! It brings me the most joy <3
Testing new recipes I can’t wait to share soon!!
Enjoying the slower, quieter moments in between busy days <3
Afternoon walks, hello daylight savings!
A Note for the Week Ahead
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7
This verse has been such a sweet reminder for me recently. It’s so easy to carry stress, pressure, or even just the weight of everyday life, but we’re not meant to hold it all on our own. God cares deeply about every part of our lives — even the small things we might not think to bring to Him.
As you head into this new week, I hope you feel a sense of peace knowing you don’t have to carry everything yourself. Take a deep breath, bring it to Him, and trust that He’s walking with you through it all.
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
Again, thank you for being here — whether you try one recipe or simply enjoy the scroll, I’m forever grateful you’re part of this community.
Here’s to another sweet, simple, and well made week ahead!
