Well Made Weekly Roundup
so much fun in the kitchen, big things on the horizon, and an announcement to come!
Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! I hope you’ve all had an amazing week! This week has been so good — both in the kitchen and behind the camera. I've been really enjoying this slower, more conversational style of filming lately — longer videos, a lot more of me actually talking through what I'm making and why! It has felt like such a natural shift, and I love that so many of you have been connecting with it too!!
June has been such a good catchup month for work, and I’ve really used this time to get ahead because July is shaping up to be a big travel month. I have so much coming up, including making my brother-in-law’s wedding cake — which I am beyond honored to be doing, and yes, I will be filming and sharing the whole process with you all! I cannot wait for that one. And then on top of that, we have a fun trip to California, LA, and Utah — all of which will include different activities from each other and AH, I’m just so excited!
I also have another fun announcement coming this morning, so keep an eye out for that!! 👀🤎
As always, I am just so grateful for this community and for every single one of you who shows up week after week! If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
Sourdough Blueberry Fritter Bites
Soft and tender on the inside with a beautifully golden exterior, the sourdough adds the most perfect subtle tang while bright, juicy blueberries are studded all throughout. Fried until golden and coated in a silky vanilla bean glaze that melts into every crack. Served warm with a hot cup of coffee — small, mighty, and SO good!
Fully Crusted Upside-Down S’mores Cheesecake
You guys, this one is so fun :’). A perfectly buttery, crunchy graham cracker crust coating the whole thing, which encases a rich and creamy no-bake toasted marshmallow cheesecake filling and a thick, rich hot fudge sauce right in the middle. Inverted to serve and smashed into with a spoon (or of course, you can slice it), and finished with a dollop of toasted marshmallow fluff! So fun and so unforgettable.
Blueberry Cheesecake Streusel Buns
I made these in honor of my dad for Father’s Day (they are one of his absolute favorite breakfast pastries), and every bite tastes like a little slice of home to me <3. The softest, most pillowy cloud-like dough that melts in your mouth, filled with a rich and tangy cheesecake filling and a homemade jammy blueberry compote. Finished with an oat streusel for the perfect crunch and a drizzle of maple vanilla bean glaze. They’re the best when served warm with a hot cup of coffee, and are perfect for Father’s Day this weekend (or really any summer morning)!!
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - so so rich in vanilla flavor!
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
Ballerina Farm Farm Flour - I’ve been absolutely LOVING this flour for my yeasted doughs (especially cinnamon rolls and donuts); it’s very similar to bread flour, but has an even higher protein content, leading to more structure!
My Favorite Yeast - just the best!
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
Breville Espresso Machine - one of my favorite purchases ever, there is nothing better than a cup of coffee from this and made at home!
Kitchen Scale - the BEST kitchen scale! using one will be a game-changer for you in the kitchen <3
French Rolling Pin - just my fave rolling pin!
9” Springform Pan - my favorite springform pan, and what I made the upside-down cheesecake in!
Our Place Mini Always Pan - I almost always brown my butter in this pan, and cook on it all the time; it’s amazing and non-toxic!
Our Place Always Pan - what I said above, just the bigger version of the pan!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer - this needs almost no explanation, it’s simply a life-saver in the kitchen
KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer - perfect for when you don’t want to pull out the stand mixer!
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
Non-Baking Favorites:
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far
MZ Wallace Tote - my FAVORITE bag (I use it as my daily purse), and it is incredible for traveling
My Favorite Sneakers - anything by New Balance is incredible, but these specifically are my daily shoes haha I wear them with everything, and they’re so comfortable!
40oz Tumbler - obsessed with Brumate’s cups! I love how you can open and close the straw to prevent spillage
Cowgirl Boots - SO comfortable and I wear them with so many outfits; they also last forever
My FAVORITE Jeans - by far my favorite and most worn pair of jeans, they’re beyond comfortable (and that’s coming from someone who highly dislikes wearing jeans)
The BEST Tank Tops - I’ve been living in these recently because it’s so hot, and they couldn’t be more perfect for the summer (they also have so many cute colors too)!
My Favorite Black Boots - they literally go with every single outfit and are so cute
Half-Lid Striped Mug - I use this just about every day, love the half-lid!!
Our Kitchen Barstools - we LOVE
My Lip Combo - wear it every single day, I just mix and match the colors depending on what I’m feeling!
Favorite Skincare Products - have been using all of these for years and they’re just the best
Current Body Red Light Face Mask - red light is so incredible for your skin and cells, and I LOVE how convenient this is. I’m able to walk around and do so much while using it, but I also love having it on during my quiet time in the morning! It’s worked WONDERS for my skin!! You can use code ‘KILEYCB’ for 10% off!!
Favorite Everyday Makeup - again, have been using all of these for years! excatly what I use for my makeup everyday <3
This Week Looked Like
Slow mornings with coffee and time with the Lord, my favorite part of every day <3
Really LOVING filming and the longer, more conversational videos right now
So many fun summer recipes that are to come (including some homemade ice cream/ice cream sandwiches!!)
Already starting to brainstorm and test recipes for fall, I know…crazy :’)
Warm cup of Ballerina Farm’s Bone Broth Hot Cocoa — you guys I am OBSESSED. I love mixing it with some espresso and frothed milk, it’s like liquid gold!
Just feeling really grateful and settled in this season
Your sweet messages and recreations that ALWAYS always always make my day <3
A Note for the Week Ahead
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." — Proverbs 16:3
This verse has felt so fitting as I look ahead to such a busy, exciting season. It’s such a good reminder that we don’t have to carry the weight of every plan, every detail, every outcome on our own shoulders. When we commit our work — our days, our goals, our big and small moments — to Him, He is faithful to establish what’s meant to be!
As you head into this new week, whatever you’re planning, building, or working toward, I hope you can release the pressure of having to control it all. Commit it to Him, trust the process, and watch how beautifully things come together. Excited for what’s ahead for both of us!
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
Again, thank you for being here — whether you try one recipe or simply enjoy the scroll, I’m forever grateful you’re part of this community.
Here’s to another sweet, simple, and well made week ahead!
Kiley 🤎
