Well Made Weekly Roundup
a full week, a lot of learning, and three recipes i'm so excited to share!
Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! This week was such a full and exciting one — and not just in the kitchen! I was back in New York City for a few days with Raptive and honestly, it was so incredible, so educational, and so informational. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes of publishing recipes and running a food blog that I don’t think I talk about enough — and I think I need to take you all behind the scenes soon to show you what that actually looks like because it’s a lot in the best way!
I also got to meet so many other amazing people in this space which is always one of my favorite parts of trips like this. There is something so special about being in a room full of people who just get it — who understand the work, the passion, and everything that goes into creating. I left feeling so motivated, so inspired, and just really energized about everything that’s ahead!
And the best part? I am finally done with travel for the month — and I could not be more ready to just be home. All of the trips this month were so much fun and I’m so grateful for every single one of them, but I will not lie — I am wiped! I cannot wait to get back into my routine, back into my kitchen, and just settle into a good groove for at least the next month. I do have some really exciting travel planned for July that I genuinely cannot wait to share with you all — but until then, I am so happy to just be home and creating again!
If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
Pistachio Cream Lava Cakes
Warm, gooey pistachio cream flowing out of a soft, tender pistachio cake that is bursting with nutty, slightly sweet pistachio flavor in every single bite. Served warm with a scoop of ice cream and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt — every bite just melts in your mouth. This one is so special and so dreamy!
Bakery-Style Triple Chocolate Fudge Muffins
Beyond soft, fluffy, and rich with a tender crumb and that tall, gorgeous bakery-style muffin top. Studded throughout with melty chocolate chips and hiding a molten chocolate ganache center that just melts into every single bite. Three kinds of chocolate in one muffin — deeply indulgent, incredibly fudgy. Chocolate lovers, this one is for you!
Sourdough Krispy Kreme Donuts (w/ Discard)
These are my favorite donuts I’ve ever made. Incredibly soft, fluffy, and tender on the inside with that beautifully golden, slightly chewy exterior — coated in a silky vanilla bean or strawberry glaze that gets perfectly crackly on the outside. Made with sourdough discard for the most subtle depth of flavor, these taste just like the real thing but homemade and honestly even better. Served warm with a hot cup of coffee, these are pure joy!!
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - so so rich in vanilla flavor!
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
Pistachio Cream - LOVE this one
My Favorite Yeast - what I use for ANY yeasted dough!
Ballerina Farm Farm Flour - I’ve been absolutely LOVING this flour for my yeasted doughs (especially cinnamon rolls and donuts); it’s very similar to bread flour, but has an even higher protein content!
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
Breville Espresso Machine - one of my favorite purchases ever, there is nothing better than a cup of coffee from this and made at home!
Kitchen Scale - the BEST kitchen scale! using one will be a game-changer for you in the kitchen <3
Instant Read Thermometer - I always use this to measure the temperature of my milk for activating yeast!
Frying Thermometer - a game-changer for frying to maintain oil temperature!
French Rolling Pin - just my fave rolling pin!
12oz Ramekins - love these for larger lava cakes, and they’re what I made the pistachio cream lava cakes in!
6-Cup Jumbo Muffin Pan - I make all of my muffins in this, love the size and it bakes beautifully
12-Cup Standard Muffin Pan - also my favorite for a standard muffin size!
My Favorite Frying Pot - always use this for donuts!
Our Place Mini Always Pan - I almost always brown my butter in this pan, and cook on it all the time; it’s amazing and non-toxic!
Our Place Always Pan - what I said above, just the bigger version of the pan!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer - this needs almost no explanation, it’s simply a life-saver in the kitchen
KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer - perfect for when you don’t want to pull out the stand mixer!
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far

A Note for the Week Ahead
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." — Proverbs 16:3
This verse has been sitting with me so much lately — especially after a week like this one that was so full of learning, connecting, and dreaming about what’s ahead. It’s such a good reminder that when we bring our work, our dreams, and our plans to Him first, He is faithful to establish them. Not our timeline, not our way — but His, which is always so much better!
As you head into this new week, I hope you feel encouraged to bring whatever you’re building, whatever you’re working toward, and whatever feels heavy right now — and just lay it down at His feet. Trust that He sees it, He cares about it, and He is working even when you can’t see it yet. I’m rooting for you and so excited for everything this week holds for you <3.
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
Again, thank you for being here — whether you try one recipe or simply enjoy the scroll, I’m forever grateful you’re part of this community.
Here’s to another sweet, simple, and well made week ahead!
Kiley 🤎
