Well Made Weekly Roundup
a peek at this week’s bakes, a few things I loved, and a reminder for your heart as we head into a new week.
Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! Gosh, this week was a whirlwind. We officially have our house for Texas (yay!!), which we were praying so hard for. The process was a bit difficult with the time crunch, and living with two very large dogs doesn’t make it any easier when renting :’). However, we are SOOO excited for this house and are beyond thankful! We originally thought we’d be moving next Friday, so we have been packing here and there. But we just got word last night from the moving company that movers are coming on either Monday or Tuesday this upcoming week…so it looks like we’re going to be scrambling a bit the next few days. Say a little prayer for us if you think of it, because we are definitely stressed right now. You always underestimate how much stuff you have until you start to pack…yes?! Because it somehow always seems like things are being added to the list, instead of being packed away 😂. On top of that, my dad was in the hospital for the majority of this week. It was scary, but everything is okay, thank you Jesus.
Nonetheless, I was in the kitchen a good amount this week as I had a few things that absolutely had to be done for work before the move. I leaned into recipes that feel nostalgic with familiar flavors but still a little elevated, and it reminded me how much joy there is in baking things that feel both comforting and special.
If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
Fluffernutter Chocolate Chip Cookie Skiller (with Brown Butter)
Fluffernutter sandwiches were just the besttt growing up — and I couldn’t help myself with this one! A warm, gooey cookie skillet made with brown butter, soft and melty in the center with golden, crisp, slightly chewy edges. Stuffed with peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, crushed Nutter Butter cookies, and melty chocolate chips, then finished with flaky sea salt and served warm with vanilla ice cream. Fun, nostalgic, and completely indulgent.
Tiramisu Basque Cheesecake
A soft, creamy espresso basque cheesecake base topped with espresso-soaked ladyfingers, a light mascarpone cream, and a generous dusting of cocoa powder. Rich yet balanced, elegant but still comforting — the perfect dessert for coffee lovers.
Classic Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread (Updated!)
One of the most beloved recipes on my website, and it’s for good reason! Soft, fluffy banana bread with the most tender crumb, rich banana flavor without being overly sweet, and melty chocolate chips throughout. The brown butter adds a warm, nutty depth, and it’s best served warm with butter, flaky sea salt, and a hot cup of coffee.
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - currently my favorite vanilla bean paste, such a rich vanilla
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
DeLallo Instant Espresso Powder - the best instant espresso; I used it in the marbled chocolate chip crumb loaf this week to enhance the chocolate flavor and ugh, so good <3
Flaky Sea Salt - the flakiest of flaky sea salt, you can probably tell by now that I use it on quite literally everything
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
Our Place Always Pan - my favorite non-toxic pan to use for essentially anything on the stovetop; my set has lasted me forever!
#20 Cookie Scoop (3 tbsp; 2oz) - one of my favorite cookie scoops for standard cookies
The Scoop I Typically Use for Cookies — it’s technically an ice cream scoop but I use it for everything hahaha
9x5” Loaf Pan - my absolute favorite loaf pan; it bakes so evenly!
8.5x4.5” Loaf Pan - also a favorite loaf pan, it’s a tad smaller than a standard 9x5”, but it’s amazing! I used this for the marbled chocolate chip loaf this week!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer - this needs almost no explanation, it’s simply a life-saver in the kitchen
KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer - the best for beating anything without having
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far
This Week Looked Like
Packing away!!! It’s getting so real!
Filming some really fun recipes that will come so very soon!
Seeing so many of you excited about these classic bakes, which brings me so much joy :’)
Mornings with warm coffee and the Lord - the one thing that’s keeping me sane right now; my time with Him is a non-negotiable and keeps me so grounded throughout each day!
A Note for the Week Ahead
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.” — Psalm 37:23
This verse has been such a comfort lately. Even when life feels full or the path ahead isn’t totally clear, it’s reassuring to remember that our steps are not random — they’re guided. God is present in both the big moments and the small, ordinary ones.
As you head into this new week, I hope you’re met with peace, steadiness, and little reminders of His care. Keep your eyes turned toward Him!
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
Again, thank you for being here — whether you try one recipe or simply enjoy the scroll, I’m forever grateful you’re part of this community.
Here’s to another sweet, simple, and well made week ahead!
