Well Made Weekly Roundup
a peek at this week’s bakes, a few things I loved, and a reminder for your heart as we head into a new week.
Hi friends —
Happy Sunday! This week was a busy one, and a REALLY fun one. I had some really exciting things and meetings happen this week! I really don’t like being this person…but I can’t say anything yet, however I can’t wait to tell you when the time comes!!
In terms of baking, filming, etc., I found myself leaning into those nostalgic, comforting bakes that feel a little indulgent but still simple enough to make at home. Ugh, I’m in love with the recipes I have coming up!! There’s something about testing recipes that combine classic flavors with a slight twist that makes the whole process so fun — especially when the final result feels like something you’d grab from your favorite local bakery. I’m so grateful to be back in a steady baking rhythm, and I loved seeing so many of you already making these recipes and sharing them with me. It never gets old <3.
If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
Nutella-Stuffed Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookies
Soft and gooey in the center with perfectly golden, crinkly edges, these cookies combine cozy banana bread flavor with nutty brown butter, melty chocolate chips, and a warm Nutella center. Served with flaky sea salt and a cold glass of milk, they’re pure comfort.
Almond Frangipane Cheesecake Bars
A golden Biscoff cookie crust layered with soft almond frangipane and a creamy vanilla bean cheesecake filling, topped with whipped cream and sliced almonds. It’s like an almond croissant meets cheesecake in the best way!
Old-Fashioned Buttermilk Donut Bars (w/ Brown Butter Maple Vanilla Bean Glaze)
My FAVORITE of the week!! Soft and fluffy inside with a perfectly golden, crisp exterior, these donut bars are coated in a silky brown butter maple vanilla bean glaze (drool) and served warm with coffee. Classic, nostalgic, and so satisfying!
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - so so rich in vanilla flavor!
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
Hu Kitchen Simple Dark Chocolate - my favorite chocolate EVER! I loveee how simple the ingredients are <3
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips - one of my favorites for cookies and such a classic
Guittard Bittersweet Baking Wafers - these are SO fun for cookies and create the biggest pools of chocolate!
California Olive Ranch Avocado Blend - I absolutely loveee this for frying
Cake Flour - absolutely perfect for old-fashioned donuts, it creates the softest texture
Flaky Sea Salt - the flakiest of flaky sea salt, you can probably tell by now that I use it on quite literally everything
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
Our Place Always Pan - my favorite non-toxic pan to use for essentially anything on the stovetop; my set has lasted me forever!
My Favorite Frying Pot - personally my favorite for frying, I actually prefer a shallower pot!
8.5x4.5” Loaf Pan - my favorite to use for the cheesecake bars, I think it’s just the perfect size!
KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer - the best for beating anything without having
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far
This Week Looked Like
Lots of recipe testing!! SO excited for the recipes coming soon and further in the future :)
Finding small moments of rest in busy days
Seeing your recreations of this week’s recipes (truly my favorite part). It brings me the most joy <3
Lots and lots of time with the Lord with a cup of coffee in the morning, have been loving this time with the fireplace going and the dogs laying nearby <#
A Note for the Week Ahead
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3
I’ve been holding onto this verse lately. It’s such a simple reminder that we’re not meant to carry everything alone. When we place our plans, our work, and even our smallest daily tasks in His hands, there’s a steadiness that follows.
As you head into this new week, I hope you feel peace in your routines, joy in the little moments, and confidence knowing that He is guiding your steps — even in the ordinary days.
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
Again, thank you for being here — whether you try one recipe or simply enjoy the scroll, I’m forever grateful you’re part of this community.
Here’s to another sweet, simple, and well made week ahead!
