Well Made Weekly Roundup
catching up, creating, and some exciting things on the horizon — plus three new recipes!!
Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! This week in the kitchen was such a good one and I am so happy to be back in a full rhythm again. May was a whirlwind with so much travel packed in, and I’m officially taking June as my catchup month — more time in the kitchen, more testing, more filming, and just getting back to what I love most! I always miss my home and the kitchen so much when I’m traveling that I just itch to get back (I’m a major homebody at heart), so it has felt so good to slow down and really get back into my groove.
July is going to have some travel involved with a family wedding (I’m making the cake!), and a trip out to LA which is going to be a BLAST (you’ll see why eventually). I also have some really fun things in the works behind the scenes that I genuinely cannot wait to share with you all. I’m not ready to spill just yet, but just know that some exciting things are coming and I’m so thrilled about it. Stay tuned!!
And as always, I’m just so grateful to be here doing this with you all. This community is everything to me and weeks like this one remind me exactly why I love what I do. I thank the Lord every single day for the blessing that you all are to me, and I hope you’re always reminded of that through my work!
If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
Baklava Croissant Bread Pudding (w/ Honey Buttermilk Syrup)
Buttery, flaky croissants soaked in a rich vanilla bean custard, swirled throughout with a warm and gooey baklava filling that melts into every bite with just the right amount of crunch. Baked until perfectly golden and served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a generous drizzle of the silky honey buttermilk syrup, and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt — this one is truly something special!
Banana Coffee Cake Pancakes (w/ Warm Vanilla Bourbon Maple Syrup)
These are just…insane. INSANE. Soft, fluffy, and perfectly tender in the middle with that beautifully golden exterior and crisp edges. The warm cinnamon streusel caramelizes on the bottom, melts into the middle, and crisps up on top as they cook — and the way it all works with that warm banana flavor is just ugh, so good. Served warm with a pat of butter and a generous drizzle of warm bourbon maple syrup. My dream stack!!
The Best Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Donuts
In case you missed it, yesterday was National Donut Day! And these are the best way to celebrate (even if it’s late). Soft and fluffy with the most delicate, tender interior and a beautifully golden, slightly crisp exterior. The sour cream gives them a subtle tang that works perfectly with a pinch of nutmeg to create that signature nostalgic old-fashioned flavor. Fried until golden and coated in a silky vanilla bean glaze that melts into every crack and ridge. They are a classic that never misses and truly the best served warm with a hot cup of coffee!
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - so so rich in vanilla flavor!
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
Cake Flour - the key to perfect old-fashioned donuts!
Avocado Oil Blend - my favorite for frying!!
Ballerina Farm Farm Flour - I’ve been absolutely LOVING this flour for my yeasted doughs (especially cinnamon rolls and donuts); it’s very similar to bread flour, but has an even higher protein content!
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
Breville Espresso Machine - one of my favorite purchases ever, there is nothing better than a cup of coffee from this and made at home!
Kitchen Scale - the BEST kitchen scale! using one will be a game-changer for you in the kitchen <3
My Favorite Frying Pot - Le Creuset will never let you down, this one is amazing and heavy duty, and can be used for cooking too!
9” Cheesecake Pan - perfect for cheesecakes and also what I make all of my bread puddings in!
Donut Cutters - just an essential and can be used for so many other things than donuts!
Frying Thermometer -this is literally the best for keeping oil at the correct temperature when frying!
French Rolling Pin - just my fave rolling pin!
Caraway Griddle Pan - my favorite for pancakes because it’s completely flat! and non-toxic <3
Our Place Mini Always Pan - I almost always brown my butter in this pan, and cook on it all the time; it’s amazing and non-toxic!
Our Place Always Pan - what I said above, just the bigger version of the pan!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer - this needs almost no explanation, it’s simply a life-saver in the kitchen
KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer - perfect for when you don’t want to pull out the stand mixer!
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
Non-Baking Favorites:
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far
MZ Wallace Tote - my FAVORITE bag (I use it as my daily purse), and it is incredible for traveling
My Favorite Sneakers - anything by New Balance is incredible, but these specifically are my daily shoes haha I wear them with everything, and they’re so comfortable!
White Tee - just obsessed with this right now; 100% cotton and so comfortable
40oz Tumbler - obsessed with Brumate’s cups! I love how you can open and close the straw to prevent spillage
Cowgirl Boots - SO comfortable and I wear them with so many outfits; they also last forever
My FAVORITE Jeans - by far my favorite and most worn pair of jeans, they’re beyond comfortable (and that’s coming from someone who highly dislikes wearing jeans)
My Favorite Black Boots - they literally go with every single outfit and are so cute
Half-Lid Striped Mug - I use this just about every day, love the half-lid!!
Our Kitchen Barstools - we LOVE

A Note for the Week Ahead
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9
This one has been on my heart so much lately. Whether you’re in a season of hustle, of waiting, of catching back up, or of quietly showing up day after day — this verse is for you. The work you’re doing matters, even when it feels slow, even when results aren’t immediate, even when no one is watching. Keep going. Keep showing up. The harvest is coming!
As you step into this new week, I hope you feel a renewed sense of purpose and energy. Whatever you’re working toward — personally, professionally, creatively — don’t give up on it. Good things take time, and you are closer than you think. Rooting for you always!
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
