Well Made Weekly Roundup
cozy mornings, fun bakes, and a sweet week in the kitchen.
Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! This week in the kitchen was such a good one — the kind of week where every recipe that came together just made me so happy and reminded me why I love doing this so much! There’s been a lot of testing, a lot of coffee, and a lot of those little moments in between that I’m learning to soak up and appreciate more and more.
I will say — I’m off traveling again next week, but after that I am done for a little bit and I genuinely cannot wait to just be home, be in my kitchen, and keep creating and sharing with you all. So much good stuff is coming and I’m so excited!
I’m also just feeling really grateful this week. Grateful to be back in my kitchen, grateful for the creative spark that’s been so alive lately, and grateful for every single one of you who shows up here week after week. It genuinely means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted for a second <3.
If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
Sticky Toffee Waffles (w/ Maple Toffee Sauce)
Soft and fluffy on the inside with that perfectly golden, crisp exterior that makes a really good waffle so hard to beat. Every bite is warm, cozy, and full of that classic sticky toffee pudding flavor. Served warm with a generous pat of butter, a dollop of whipped sour cream, and that silky maple toffee sauce drizzled over the top — melting down into every single nook and cranny. With a hot cup of coffee on the side, this one is everything!
Brown Butter Blueberry Fritter Cake
All of that classic blueberry fritter magic baked into the most beautiful cake! Soft and fluffy with a tender crumb, swirled with a warm cinnamon filling and a homemade blueberry compote so you get that signature fritter flavor woven through every single layer. Finished with a silky maple vanilla bean glaze and served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt. This one is truly so special.
Strawberry Cinnamon Roll Bites
Like eating the center of a cinnamon roll over and over again — and I mean that in the best possible way! Soft, fluffy, and perfectly gooey, each bite rolled in a warm brown sugar cinnamon mixture for that classic flavor all the way through. Layered with a bright homemade strawberry compote and a brown sugar syrup that sinks into every nook — then finished with a tangy cream cheese glaze and served warm with a hot cup of coffee. HEAVEN.
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - so so rich in vanilla flavor!
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
My Favorite Yeast - what I use for ANY yeasted dough!
My Favorite Frozen Wild Blueberries - the BEST blueberries!! I used these in the fritters and the outcome is just the best (flavor and texture)
Ballerina Farm Farm Flour - I’ve been absolutely LOVING this flour for my yeasted doughs (especially cinnamon rolls and donuts); it’s very similar to bread flour, but has an even higher protein content!
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
Breville Espresso Machine - one of my favorite purchases ever, there is nothing better than a cup of coffee from this and made at home!
Belgian Waffle Maker - my FAVORITE waffle maker, I personally think it’s the perfect thickness!!
French Rolling Pin - just my fave rolling pin!
Our Place Mini Always Pan - I almost always brown my butter in this pan, and cook on it all the time; it’s amazing and non-toxic!
Our Place Always Pan - what I said above, just the bigger version of the pan!
10.5x7.5” Ceramic Baking Dish - I loveee using this for some cakes and even biscuits!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer - this needs almost no explanation, it’s simply a life-saver in the kitchen
KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer - perfect for when you don’t want to pull out the stand mixer!
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far
This Week Looked Like
Slow mornings with coffee and time with the Lord before the day gets started <3.
Feeling so creatively energized and inspired in the kitchen lately!!
Appreciating the slower, quieter in-between moments just as much as the busy ones!
Every sweet message, comment, and recreation you all share with me — it never gets old!
A Note for the Week Ahead
"Be still and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10
Such a short verse but so incredibly powerful. In a world that constantly tells us to hustle harder, move faster, and do more — this is the gentle reminder we all need. Be still. Just for a moment. Know that He is God and that He is in control of every single thing you’re carrying right now!
As you head into this new week, I hope you can find even just a few quiet moments to breathe, to rest, and to remember that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. He is steady when everything around us feels uncertain, and His peace is available to you right now if you’ll slow down enough to receive it. I’m praying this week brings you so much goodness, rest, and joy!
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
Again, thank you for being here — whether you try one recipe or simply enjoy the scroll, I’m forever grateful you’re part of this community.
Here’s to another sweet, simple, and well made week ahead!
