Well Made Weekly Roundup
a peek at this week’s bakes, a few things I loved, and a reminder for your heart as we head into a new week.
Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! This week was a busy one, and all about finding my rhythm in a new space. I spent a lot of time in the kitchen learning my new flow of filming and testing recipes, and it’s been so fun settling into our home here in Texas — we’re absolutely loving it already. There’s something really sweet about creating in a new place and slowly making it feel like home.
I also have some really fun recipes coming up for Valentine’s Day this week, and I’m genuinely excited about it!! I feel like Valentine’s Day is such an underrated holiday, and it deserves a little extra love this year… no pun intended. Whether you’re baking for someone special or just treating yourself, I’m so excited to share what’s coming this week!
If you missed anything this week, here’s a wrap-up of every new recipe from this week in the order they went live on the blog, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest — sweet things to scroll, save, and bake! Plus a few favorite tools and ingredients, some highlights, and a word of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.
French Toast Biscuits w/ Whipped Salted Maple Butter
Soft, fluffy, flaky biscuits with a golden exterior and little pockets of cinnamon sugar throughout. Served warm with whipped salted maple butter and a hot cup of coffee — cozy breakfast perfection.
Flourless Chocolate Cakes for Two
Rich, fudgy, decadent little chocolate cakes with a perfectly crackly top. Made with deep, dark chocolate and a hint of espresso to enhance the flavor, then served warm with powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream, and flaky sea salt. A perfect date-night dessert!
Chocolate Espresso Sticky Toffee Pudding
A soft, rich chocolate cake with a subtle espresso note, served warm with a silky espresso toffee sauce, vanilla ice cream, and flaky sea salt. Cozy, indulgent, and perfect for slow evenings.
Vanilla Bean Cheesecake w/ White Chocolate Mousse
A classic graham cracker crust filled with creamy, tangy vanilla bean cheesecake, topped with a light white chocolate mousse and finished with a berry compote. Elegant, balanced, and perfect for special occasions!
Things I Loved This Week
Favorite Ingredients:
Flaky Sea Salt - I’m sure you guys know the drill by now; I add this on EVERYTHING. It is the flakiest of flaky and so darn good.
Vanilla Bean Paste - so so rich in vanilla flavor!
Vanilla Extract - my favorite vanilla extract for all baking <3
DeLallo Instant Espresso Powder - the best instant espresso
Ghirardelli Dutch Process Unsweetened Cocoa Powder - one of my absolute favorites! I used it for the brownies and it is perfecttt!
Hu Kitchen Simple Dark Chocolate - my favorite chocolate EVER! I loveee how simple the ingredients are <3
Flaky Sea Salt - the flakiest of flaky sea salt, you can probably tell by now that I use it on quite literally everything
Favorite Tools:
My Favorite Ice Cream Scoop - I use this to scoop anything and everything! Batters, doughs, ice cream, etc. (and I use it to scoop my cookies even though it’s technically not a cookie scoop)
Our Place Always Pan - my favorite non-toxic pan to use for essentially anything on the stovetop; my set has lasted me forever!
9” Springform Pan - the best for cheesecakes!!
12oz Ramekins - what I made the flourless chocolate cakes in, love this size!!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer - this needs almost no explanation, it’s simply a life-saver in the kitchen
KitchenAid Cordless Hand Mixer - the best for beating anything without having
Wooden Cooking & Baking Utensils - the one you see in every video while browning butter, they are my absolute favorite and so versatile
Gold Silverware Set - you guys are always asking where my gold utensils are from haha! I’ve had these for years, and they’ve lasted so well!
Wedgwood China - the china set (tea cups, plates, bowls, etc.) that you keep seeing are from Wedgwood! I actually thrifted the set I have, so I’m not sure if it’s still available; but all of their sets are absolutely beautiful!
Digital Kitchen Scale - if there’s one thing I can convince you of in baking, it’s to start weighing your ingredients instead of using cups! It’s SO much more accurate, as you’ll get more consistent results with each recipe (and so much easier in my opinion). This is the kitchen scale I have, and I absolutely love it <3
My Current Devotional - my absolute favorite way to start the day, with the Lord. I’ve been really enjoying this devotional throughout this year so far
This Week Looked Like
Settling into Texas!! 🤠
Lots of recipe testing!! I can’t wait for what’s coming :)
Seeing so many of you saving and baking my recipes! It brings me the most joy <3
Lots and lots of time with the Lord with a cup of coffee in the morning, have been loving this time with the fireplace going <3
A Note for the Week Ahead
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” — Psalm 28:7
This verse has been such a reminder that we don’t have to carry everything on our own. Even in full weeks or uncertain moments, we’re supported, strengthened, and cared for by Him. There’s peace in remembering that we’re not walking into this week alone.
As you head into the days ahead, I hope you’re met with moments of warmth, rest, and encouragement — whether that’s something cozy baking in the oven, a quiet morning with coffee, or simply the comfort of knowing you’re held.
As always, ALL of my full recipes are up on the blog so you can bake your way through them at wellmadebykiley.com <3.
Again, thank you for being here — whether you try one recipe or simply enjoy the scroll, I’m forever grateful you’re part of this community.
Here’s to another sweet, simple, and well made week ahead!
