Hi friends —
Happy Saturday! I hope you all had a wonderful week. This week has been the most whirlwind week in the best possible way — and I am writing this to you with a wedding cake to finish in just a few hours, so bear with me!!
It all started with a work trip to Utah for an event with Ballerina Farm — and I genuinely cannot say enough good things about it. I have been using their products for years (their farm flour is my absolute favorite, truly nothing compares), so getting to go behind the scenes and see the integrity behind the brand up close was just such a special experience! The passion and care that goes into every single product they make is so evident, and it made me love and appreciate them even more than I already did. And Dustin got to come along for this one which made it even sweeter — always better when he’s by my side on these trips.
Then we flew straight to Colorado for my brother-in-law’s wedding and it has already been so much fun. If you didn’t know, Dustin is one of ten kids — yes, ten!! — so any time we all get to be together it is just the absolute best. There is so much love and laughter in that family and I feel so lucky to be a part of it! And of course, I am making the wedding cake, which I need to go finish in just a few hours so wish me luck!!

Brown Butter Blueberry Muffin Pancakes
Soft, fluffy, and perfectly tender in the middle with a beautifully golden exterior and crisp edges. The brown butter adds this deep, warm, nutty flavor that pairs so beautifully with juicy blueberries and a warm cinnamon streusel that caramelizes on top and melts into the middle as they cook. Served warm with a pat of butter, maple syrup, and a hot cup of coffee — a slow morning dream!
Fully Crusted Upside-Down Peach Cobbler Cheesecake
Clearly I can’t stop making upside-down cheesecakes…hahaha they’re just so fun! A buttery, crunchy Biscoff cookie crust coating the entire thing, layered with a rich and silky no-bake cheesecake filling and a sweet, tart, jammy homemade peach filling right in the middle. Inverted to serve and smashed into with a spoon for the most satisfying, fun twist on a classic. Finished with a dollop of cinnamon whipped cream and an easy salted caramel!
Banana Bread Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls
These are just insane. Incredibly soft, fluffy, sticky, and gooey — the dough is made with mashed banana for the most perfect warm banana flavor all the way through. Filled with a warming banana bread cinnamon filling that gets gooey and caramelized as they bake, and finished with a brown sugar cream cheese frosting that melts into every single swirl. Served warm with a hot cup of coffee — they just melt in your mouth!
A Note for the Week Ahead
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5-6
This verse has felt so fitting this week — a week full of travel, new experiences, big moments, and a wedding cake to make with steady hands and a trusting heart. There are so many moments in life where we want to control every detail, plan every outcome, and have it all figured out. But this verse is such a gentle and powerful reminder that our job is simply to trust — to submit our ways to Him and let Him direct our steps.
As you head into this new week, whatever feels uncertain or overwhelming or just really big — I hope you can release the need to have it all figured out and just trust. He knows the path, He’s already gone before you, walk forward with a peaceful heart and let Him lead.
